Our youth Radio Club, MAYAPUR SCHOOL AND YOUTH RADIO NIMAI, popularly called RADIO NIMAI, has already organised three DXpeditions, the last one to Rodrigues Island 3B9N in the Indian Ocean about 600 km northeast of Mauritius. It is represented by Suvarna/OM0GA, who is currently operating under the callsign 3B8G.
Suvarna is offering all hams sparring partnerships for this DXpedition.
Since the costs of organizing the previous Nepal DXpedition 9N7GA, 9N/OM0GA 2025, and this Mauritian DXpedition 3B8G 2026 were much higher than I could have anticipated, I am looking for a friendly operator who would personally participate in this DXpedition 3B9N and at the same time personally or through the club would contribute £1600 to cover very good cheap accommodation and flights from Port Louis Mauritius to Port Mathurin Rodrigues Island.
The determined enthusiast can also bring their own TCVR at their own expense.
The 3B9N visitor’s license will be provided for the period from 1.4 to 23.5.2026, including the reservation of accommodation in a simple guest house. However, accommodation in Rodrigues Island is subject to payment of the reservation by 22.3.2026, so we only have 27 days to do so. If this is not done for some reason, the 3B9N license and the right to stay on the island will be forfeited.
